Hand over deals

Moving a deal takes one click. Moving it so the next person can pick it up cold takes a little more, and that part is what this playbook does.

Say this to your assistant

I need to hand over deals in Customer Magic. Show me who would get what before you move anything.

Works in any assistant connected to Customer Magic. Not connected yet?

You need

  • A shared workspace with the colleague in it
  • A decision on who takes what

You end with

  • Each deal with its new owner, its full history and its next step
  • A “where this stands” note on every deal that moved
  • A short message for the colleague, for you to send
What happens, in order
  1. 01

    It shows who gets what

A table of the deals, their stage and next step, and the proposed new owner. Nothing moves until you agree.

  2. 02

It makes each deal readable cold

A next step with a date, and one note: the last contact, what was promised, what the new owner must not get wrong.

  3. 03

    It moves them

The next step and the whole history travel with the deal, and the move itself is recorded on it.

  4. 04

    You tell your colleague

It writes the message: how many deals, which are due this week, the one thing to know about each. You send it.

  5. 05

    Coming back

After a holiday it lists what was moved, takes the deals back, and reads you the notes your cover left.

What it will never do

  • Move a deal before you have seen the list
  • Message your colleague on its own
  • Merge two deals at the same company without asking
Good to know
Who is allowed to move a deal?
Its owner can hand it to anyone. Anyone can take a colleague’s deal over for themselves. An admin can move any deal.
A colleague is leaving. What first?
Move their deals before removing them from the workspace. Removing a member does not move their deals.

Read what your assistant reads

This is the file itself, section by section. It names the exact actions your assistant takes on your board, in the order it takes them.

An adminMove any deal to anyone

Everyone can read every deal. Only its owner can change it. So a note on a colleague's deal has to be written before it leaves its owner, or after it has arrived with you.
