Weekly review
A board goes stale one skipped day at a time. This is the session that brings it back: everything overdue, drifting or quiet gets one of four decisions, and none of them is “same again next week”.
Say this to your assistant
Run my weekly review in Customer Magic. Show me your proposed decision for each overdue deal in one table so I can correct it.Works in any assistant connected to Customer Magic. Not connected yet?
You need
- Your board as it is, however far behind
You end with
- Nothing overdue, and every live deal has a next step with a date
- Everything you are not working is parked or dropped, with the reason
- Three things for Monday
- 01
It starts with what went right
Contacted, replied, met, won. A few lines, first.
- 02
It proposes, you correct
One table of everything overdue with a proposed decision per row. You change the ones it got wrong instead of answering forty questions.
- 03
Four decisions, no fifth
Do it this week, move it with a reason, park it until a date, or drop it with a reason.
- 04
It finds what is drifting
Live deals with no next step, people you wrote to that the board never heard about, and events with follow-ups still missing.
- 05
It ends on Monday
Three deals, three steps, three days. If you lead a team, you also get a short read per person.
What it will never do
- Move a date without a reason
- Delete a deal: dropped ones stay findable, with why
- Change a colleague’s deals while reading the team’s
Read what your assistant reads
This is the file itself, section by section. It names the exact actions your assistant takes on your board, in the order it takes them.
- Decide in batches. Show a table with your proposed call per deal and let the person correct it. Never forty questions in a row.
- Four calls, no fifth. Do it this week, move it with a reason, park it until a date, drop it with a reason.
- Never move a date without a reason. A week later, a slipped date and a deliberate one look the same.
- Nothing is deleted. Dropped deals stay findable, with why.
